Kahn Santori Davison is from Detroit, Michigan. He is formerly an art columnist for The Gazette News and Entertainment writer for the Michigan Citizen.  He's currently a music journalist for the Detroit Metro Times and Model D Media.  He's appeared on Netflix's “Hip-Hop Evolution,”  FX's "Hip-Hop Uncovered," CBS News, and TV ONE's  “Sins of the City.”

      He wrote the panel text and was an assistant curator for the Detroit Institute of Arts, "D-Cyphered" exhibit and served as a creative writing instructor for Detroit Impact Community Center & Inside Out Literary Arts.
   

    He’s a Cave Canem fellow whose works have been featured in The Alabama Poetry SocietyThe Baltimore Review, CallalooBlack Renaissance Noire, and The Litchfield Review. He authored the poetry book Blaze (2015 Willow Books).   He is the recipient of the 2015 Kresge Literary Arts Fellowship, a 2018 "Documenting Detroit Fellowship,"  and received a Society of Professional Journalists featured writing award in 2024.  

        He is the owner of Kahn Santori Photography www.ksantori.com. He has a B.A. from Oakland University and is a proud husband and father of four.  He's currently working on his autobiography.
